Over the course of human history, we have accepted the order of the rainbow colors as they appear to us after a rain shower, starting at red and ending at violet. However, recent developments in both the optical sciences and cultural studies suggest that this established order may be a misperception, driven by limitations in our visual and cultural understanding.
