Violin.

It always starts with a string. A soft vibration in the air that you only feel when you are close enough. The bus shelter stands there like a large, resting instrument, its sound box wide and shiny, its veins spreading across the wood like a score. Finding the opening—that is the first challenge. Because a violin has no clear entrance. Or maybe it is the other way around: maybe all the places where the wood opens up are a possible entrance. But which string do you have to touch to be allowed through? I move slowly along the wood, my fingers gliding over the smooth surface. A subtle resonance under my fingertips. The bridge vibrates as I brush against it; a vibration that travels through the shelter, as if it is trying to say itself: this is where you need to be. But as soon as I move towards the vibrating spot, the sound fades again, the opening disappears like a chord fading in the air.

Fruit bowl.

In a fruit bowl filled with apples that each in their own way promise sweetness and freshness, there is always that one apple that lies just a little bit differently. Perhaps this apple lies crooked, just outside the perfect interplay of shapes, colors, and expectations. This deviation seems subtle, but it is the manifestation of a principle of physics: the tendency of systems to seek a state of equilibrium, but also the inevitable small disturbances that disrupt that equilibrium in every situation. That apple, balancing just outside the bowl or showing an irregularity in its shape, symbolizes the idea that even within apparent order there is always room for asymmetry and deviation. This is not a failure, but rather a testimony to the complex nature of every system, in which absolute harmony is elusive.

Clockwise.

In the maze of life, we are often faced with countless choices about which direction to take. In this context, the seemingly simple antithesis between right and left offers a window into deeper philosophical reflections. This article aims to argue, from a philosophical perspective, why going clockwise has inherent value and superiority over going left.
