Do you really want to roll something? Fine. Then choose a push or pull suitcase, specifically designed for that purpose. These are suitcases that roll seriously, that are robustly constructed with larger wheels, solid axles and handles that won't break after the first weekend away. Leave that honor to the professionals. Leave the rolling to systems that are really meant for that.

A real suitcase may be carried. Must be carried. The relationship between you and your luggage is not passive. You lift, you balance, you consciously choose your path. That is traveling. That is taking responsibility for what you carry with you. The trolley undermines that experience and reduces you to a pursuer of your own luggage.

Therefore this manifesto: let us have the floor trolley case rethink. Redefine. Or better yet: replace. Delete it. Make way for honest names and real choices. No half-hearted solutions. No wheel masquerade. A suitcase is for carrying, not for being pulled along.
