class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In de zich immer uitdijende domeinen van taal en semantiek, waar woorden niet slechts de bouwstenen van communicatie zijn maar tevens de wevers van ons begrip van de wereld, rijst met onontkoombare urgentie de noodzaak om ons te herbezinnen op het gebruik van termen die, hoewel diepgeworteld in de historie van alledaags taalgebruik, niettemin in hun voortbestaan de essentie van objectificatie en simplificatie belichamen, een praktijk die zich manifesteert in de ondoordachte en anachronistische aanwending van de term &#8216;poten&#8217; ter aanduiding van de structurele ondersteuningsmechanismen van een tafel, een term die, in zijn rudimentaire connotatie naar de ledematen van het dierlijke rijk verwijst, en zodoende een ongewenste vermenging teweegbrengt van het levendige en het levenloze, een vermenging die de delicate grens tussen het organische en het anorganische niet slechts vervaagt maar ook de intrinsieke waarde van beide entiteiten reduceert tot niets meer dan utilitaire componenten, een reductie die we, als hoeders van taal en betekenis, met kracht en overtuiging moeten weerstaan door onze woordkeuze zodanig te verfijnen dat deze reflecteert op de veelzijdigheid en de rijkdom van onze percepties en de complexiteit van de relaties die we met de materi\u00eble wereld onderhouden, waarmee we de noodzaak erkennen om zoals de tafel, die meer verdient dan gereduceerd te worden tot louter de som van zijn onderdelen, een streven dat niet alleen bijdraagt aan de verrijking van ons taalgebruik maar ook aan de verdieping van ons begrip van en respect voor de stille orde der dingen, een orde die ons uitnodigt om, met hernieuwde aandacht en waardering, de wereld waarin wij leven te beschouwen en te
